Last night, we learned some sad news. Former NHL forward Bobby Ryan was arrested at the Nashville airport because he was heavily intoxicated by alcohol.
Let's remember that Ryan, who has a heavy family history, had managed to overcome a serious problem of alcohol addiction, which earned him a Bill Masterton trophy for his perseverance.
Yesterday, he had a major relapse.
In the last few hours, in the wake of his arrest (for being drunk on the street), Ryan humbly responded publicly.
«I have received so many amazing messages today. Thank you all! Today is day number one (again). I am embarrassed but I know I shouldn't be. Today I wake up and make the choice to be better.»
- Bobby Ryan
A powerful message and we wish him the best of luck in his fight to get out of the hell of alcoholism.
