The news was announced today by the nephew of Leo Boivin.
« Incredibly sad day for our family to announce the passing of my uncle Leo Boivin. Bruins legend, HHOF'er and a great, kind man. We will miss you terribly Uncle Leo.»
Boivin played for the Toronto Maple Leafs, Detroit Red Wings, Pittsburgh Penguins, and Minnesota North Stars during his 19-year NHL career. But it was during his 12 seasons with the Bruins that he really shined.
Rest In Peace, hall of famer.
