Bruins Get Wild Celebrating The Release of Mitchell Miller
The Mitchell Miller era of the Boston Bruins may have been short, but it's impact won't go away any time soon.
Jobs may be on the line, and the Bruins have lost a lot of credibility as an organization.
All of the negatives aside, however, the players of the Boston Bruins are celebrating the release of Mitchell Miller.
The players clearly weren't fans of the move. Veteran Nick Foligno chose his words carefully when addressing the topic:
It's tough. It's a really hard topic.
First and foremost, the organization is not going to do something that would jeopardize that. But in saying that, it's not something anyone in this room stands for. The culture we've built and these guys have built before I got here is one of inclusion. I think it goes against that. I understand he was 14 when he made this mistake. But it's hard for us to swallow. Because we take a lot of pride in here in the way we act, the way we carry ourselves, what it is to be a Bruin. So that was a tough thing to hear for our group.
Even the Bruins captain, Patrice Bergeron couldn't get behind management on this signing:
Now that Miller is out of the picture, the Bruins players can take a breath. There is definitely reason to celebrate, as the team is also at the top of the league.
