The Arizona Coyotes have at least five clubs interested in trade for centerman Christian Dvorak, according to John Gambadoro of Arizona Sports 98.7FM. The Montreal Canadiens, Ottawa Senators, Calgary Flames, Vegas Golden Knights, and Pittsburgh Penguins are among those teams.
"I've heard that Calgary, Montreal, Ottawa, Vegas, and Pittsburgh are all interested in trade for Coyotes Center Christian Dvorak."
The Palos Heights, Illinois native would be a great fit for the Montreal Canadiens. Montreal is expected to lose Phillip Danault in free agency next week, so acquiring Dvorak would provide some depth behind Nick Suzuki and Jesperi Kotkaniemi at the centre ice position. Dvorak is in the third year of a six-year contract that pays him $4.45 million AAV, which is at least $1-1.5 million less than Danault is likely to demand in free agency next season.
The 25-year-old has appeared in portions of five seasons for Arizona, scoring 15 goals or more in four of those seasons. Dvorak had 31 points (17 G, 14 A) and 12 penalty minutes in 56 games for the 2020-21 season.
