The Toronto Maple Leafs are in a win now mode. As they look around for players to help them take that next step, by winning a playoff series, The Hockey Writers suggest the Leafs go get defenceman PK Subban from the Devils.
Subban hasn't been able to produce in New Jersey like he did in Nashville or especially in Montreal were he was at his best for the Habs.
The Devils would have to retain half Subban's salary or close as possible to make a deal. This would definitely improve the Leafs offence on the back end, and on the power play, with Rielly and Subban? That would be deadly.
The Leafs would be a better team with Subban who's from Toronto. The Leafs have alot of good prospects and or picks the Devils would love if they made a deal.
Subban is on the final year of his contract and will be a UFA at the end of the season. Subban has 112 goals, 347 assists, with a +13 rating in 791 games. Subban is 32 and from Toronto Ontario.
