The Great 8 is having a career year through 28 games at the age of 36. With 20 goals and 44 points in 28 games, the Russian machine has been unstable.
He only trails the Oilers duo, who both have 45 points.
Leon was asked about Ovechkin's success after practice, he praised the Caps sniper.
«It's impressive. How old is he? 36? He's turning into a pass-first guy now which is kinda scary,» Draisaitl joked. «It's fun to watch. He's great for the game. He continues to get better if that's possible. It's cool to watch.»
