Emotional Moment as Borje Salming Meets With A Former Teammate Who's Also Suffering from ALS
Borje Salming's battle with ALS has been painful to watch. The Maple Leafs Legend is an inspiration to people around the world, for his generosity, and his work ethic.
Salming met with a former teammate of his, Mark Kirton, who has been battling ALS for four years. The two of them exchanged hugs and tears, likely a final goodbye for the two of them.
It has already been announced that Salming's health has declined to the point that he won't ever do another public appearance, and it's a goodbye that's come too soon.
We wish the best to both families in this time.
