Having been left out for a third straight game yesterday, rookie Shane Wright would have received some good news, according to Sportsnet's Jeff Marek.
Team general manager Ron Francis promised Wright that he would stay with the team for the entire season and that there was no question of him returning to the OHL.
The 18-year-old fourth overall pick in 2022 has one assist in five games so far this season and is averaging less than seven minutes of ice time per game.
