Former Flames first-round pick causes surprise and announces retirement at 27

According to what the popular PuckEmpire page is reporting, former 2013 Calgary Flames first round pick Morgan Klimchuk has announced his retirement from professional hockey.
He quickly found a job as an assistant coach for the Victoria Royals in the Western Hockey League (WHL).
At 27 years of age, Klimchuk will have played only one game in the NHL.
His last career season was in 2019-2020 with the Belleville Senators of the American Hockey League where he recorded 26 points, including 12 goals, in 49 games.
