With the departure of Johnny Gaudreau and the upcoming departure of Matthew Tkachuk, we can all agree that it's been a very difficult summer for the Calgary Flames' general manager.
According to tough guy John Scott, this situation could very well happen with the Toronto Maple Leafs.
"I hope Leafs fans look at this situation in Calgary and realize it's a glimpse into their future." - John Scott
Wow.
Remember, Auston Matthews will become an unrestricted free agent in two years. As for Mitch Marner, it is the year 2025.
Imagine if both of them decide to leave the organization and break the bank elsewhere, it will hurt the Toronto team a lot.
