Former NHLer Ryan Smyth Gets Knocked Out Cold in a Senior League Play
When an NHLer retires, they usually take a break from the game. Whether they go straight into retirement, or find new paths, many simply put that chapter of their lives behind him.
Some get the urge to play again, however, and one of these players is Ryan Smyth.
Unfortunately, when a senior league player is faced with a bonafide NHLer, violence occurs. Ryan Smyth couldn't escape this nasty elbow, that knocked him out cold.
Footage from a 2017 game has been released, and it's pretty intense!
This type of play would've resulted in a suspension in the NHL but in a men's league? It could happen again next game!
