Former first round pick leaves the NHL at 30

Former sixth overall pick in the 2010 NHL Draft, Brett Connolly, has decided to leave the NHL and the AHL, to sign in Europe.
The Campbell River, British Columbia native will head to Switzerland to play for HC Lugano.
The 30-year-old had one assist in nine games with the Chicago Blackhawks last season and added 35 points in 37 AHL games with the Rockford IceHogs.
