It's no secret that NHL commissioner Gary Bettman wants to develop Arizona and doesn't want to see the Coyotes anywhere but the desert.
Tonight, in front of the Tempe City Council, Bettman made some shocking statements.
On the one hand, he mentioned that the team was ready to sign a 30-year non-displacement agreement.
Also, he emphasized that the league would hold a draft or an all-star game in Tempe.
Anything to convince the city councilors.
Remember that it is the citizens of Tempe who will decide whether or not the city will invest in this major complex. The vote will take place on May 16.
More details will follow.
