Georges Laraque has been on FIRE.
Yesterday, Marc-Andre Fleury was traded to the Chicago Blackhawks for a player who may never play a game in the Bettman circuit. It is understood that this is a strategic trade freeing up $7M under the salary cap, but this way of doing things allows for criticism of the team's management.
Marc-Andre Fleury's agent, Allan Walsh, confirmed that his client had learned the news on Twitter.
Basically, Kelly McCrimmon and his team didn't even bother to inform Fleury or his agent that he was being traded. Imagine the shock for the goalie! Flower had become the face of the Knights in 2017 at the time of the expansion draft, then led the team to the Stanley Cup Final in 2018.
The same goalie who was recognized as the recipient of the Vezina Trophy in 2021. He is treated as if he was a nobody, it certainly shakes the confidence!
Yesterday, Georges Laraque gave his thoughts on the Golden Knights organization.
