Montreal Canadiens forward Paul Byron expressed his feelings about playing in Montreal Friday morning in a press conference with team media. Byron loves basically everything about the city and the team. He even went to lengths to say that he is the luckiest guy in the world.

«I love Montreal. I love the city. I love the fans. I love putting the jersey on every single day. I say it all the time to myself in my head: you come in through the garage, you walk in and you see the pictures, you see Jean Beliveau, Maurice Richard, Yvan Cournoyer, Larry Robinson, Patrick Roy, Guy Carbonneau To wear the same jersey as those guys. It's a dream you know. It's everything you dream of as a kid. I'm the luckiest person in the world, honestly. Even on bad days, being on waivers, it doesn't matter, you know. I love it. I love being here. My wife being French Canadian, her family. It was incredible. It was an incredible year.»

The Habs eventually lost in the Stanley Cup Final to the Tampa Bay Lightning 4-1, but Byron still feels the love for his city and team. The 32-year-old recorded 16 points (5 goals, 11 assists) in 46 games during the regular season and added 3 goals and 3 assists during 22 games in the Canadiens' playoff run.
