From a lower-body injury that kept Carey Price out for a few games to a concussion that kept him out for almost a month, this hasn't been the easiest season for the Montreal Canadiens' starting goalie.

The question now is whether Price will be safe and ready to play in the playoffs for the Montreal Canadiens. Everyone certainly hopes so.

Although it's true that Jake Allen has been excellent this season and that the Habs would not have made the playoffs without him, I believe Price will start Game 1 if he's fully healthy.

Price was and continues to be regarded as one of the best goalkeepers in the National Hockey League. So, here are his actual stats and how they compare to Jack Campbell, who I assume will be the Toronto Maple Leafs' starting goaltender.

The Montreal Canadiens' Carey Price
Although his numbers aren't as good as they were in his career-high season, given the Habs' defence isn't among the best in the league, Price did pretty well.

Price had a.901 save percentage, a 2.64 goals-against average, and a 12-7-5 record in 25 games played during the regular season. These are close to his regular-season numbers of.909 save percentage, 2.79 GAA, and 27-25-6 in 58 games.

But it's Price's excellent success in last year's playoffs that stands out and gives many fans hope that the Canadiens have a chance to defeat the Leafs (including the series against the Pittsburgh Penguins).

Price had a.936 save percentage and a 1.78 GAA in ten games. This resulted in a 5-5-0 record, but I don't think this accurately reflects his results.

These playoff statistics compare to Price's career-best season in 2014-15, when he had a.933 save percentage and 1.96 GAA in 66 games played and a 44-16-6 record.

The Toronto Maple Leafs' Jack Campbell
With Campbell having just completed an incredible and historic season, I expect him to start for the Leafs in the first round.

Campbell had a.921 save percentage, 2.15 GAA, and a 17-3-2 record in 22 games this season. He also made history by becoming the first player to win 11 games in a row to start a season, smashing Price's previous record of 10.
