The Humboldt Broncos have recently announced that they have suspended their 20-year-old goalie, Jared Picklyk, after he was arrested.

Picklyk has Been Taken Into Custody

According to the Saskatchewan RCMP, Picklyk was taken into custody at 1:25 AM on Saturday, which was only a few hours after the Broncos eliminated the Nipawin Hawks in the SJHL playoffs. It was reported that Picklyk drove off of the road and into a house, he was arrested due to his refusal to comply with the police and for his refusal to take an alcohol breath screening test.

The RCMP confirmed that no one was injured due to the crash, they also announced that they are still investigating the incident. It is still unknown how long Picklyk will remain suspended, but since it is his last season that he is eligible to play junior, it is evident that his junior career is over. Picklyk is still undrafted in the NHL, but it is pretty evident that this will severely impact his odds of playing in the NHL.
