Today will be the traditional Red vs White intra-squad game at the Bell Centre. For the occasion, the Canadiens announced the two lineups of the day earlier this morning.
It's without Slafkovsky, Caufield, Harris, Guhle and company that the fans at the Bell Centre will travel and that's causing a lot of talk. After all, the people in attendance will not be able to see the most coveted players in action, but there is a reason for that.
According to Renaud Lavoie, Martin St-Louis mentioned yesterday that the players absent from Sunday's game will play on Monday against the Devils.
This means that St-Louis prefers to put the young players in real game situations, rather than in a game that looks more like a party like today. It's a shame for the fans out there, but better for the development of the players.
