After Saturday night's game, Montreal Canadiens defenseman Jeff Petry gave his opinion on his new coach, Martin St. Louis.
"The first day he came in, he talked to me privately and we had a good conversation about putting the early season aside and focusing on the second half of the campaign." - Jeff Petry
Moreover, St. Louis seemed convinced at the time that Petry could work his way out of trouble.
"He gave me confidence. He told me he's watched a lot of my games over the last few years. He told me that he knows the kind of player I can be and that he was going to help me get back to that." - Jeff Petry
That's nice to see, especially since Petry hasn't always been kind to his coaches.
