According to an NHL consultant, Jeff Petry met with head management this morning regarding his future with the Canadiens.
This is what he had to say:
''Hmm, according to the info I got today, it seems that Jeff Petry would have met about his future with the CH, his aspirations etc...''
We don't have the details of that meeting, but it's clear that Kent Hughes and Jeff Gorton had a good talk with the veteran defenseman, who has three more years left on his contract.
