During the Montreal Canadiens' opening game, Jonathan Drouin, wearing a jacket and tie, received a warm welcome from the team's fans during the players' introduction.
The number 27 spoke about the beautiful moment he experienced yesterday after the game in Washington.
I've been here for six years and I've always received a nice ovation. Especially last year and this year even though I wasn't in uniform. It's always heartwarming, I'm a local guy. It's always nice when you have a moment like that.
I know the fans in Montreal very well, I've been playing there for eleven years and I'll always have respect for this crowd," added winger Brendan Gallagher. We've been through a lot as a team.
