According to insider David Pagnotta (The Fourth Period), Flames Huberdeau may already be changing addresses.
"As I mentioned a few minutes ago on @SiriusXMNHL, some teams have already inquired about Huberdeau, to make a trade with the Flames. Many are wondering if the Flames are seriously considering trading him back
Also, Huberdeau was expecting to hear from Florida on extension talks. That didn't happen. He was traded, instead." - David Pagnotta
So, Flames GM Brad Treliving's phone is reportedly ringing off the hook right now, and several teams are interested in acquiring the NHL's top Quebecer.
Unless he is traded at a high price, it would be surprising to see Huberdeau leave Calgary soon. Given that he will be an unrestricted free agent in the summer of 2023, the Flames could possibly sell him at a high price at the next trade deadline.
To be continued.
