In the 2018-2019 season, Montreal Canadiens goaltender Carey Price agreed to the terms of an eight-season contract at $10.5 million per year, on average.
At the time, the goalie was 29 years old.
On Thursday night, Jonathan Huberdeau signed a similar deal with the Calgary Flames for eight years at an average of $10.5 million per year.
Guess what, he signed that contract, at age 29!
