According to Montreal Hockey Now, several teams have reportedly made a call to Kent Hughes in an effort to acquire not only Jeff Petry, but also center Christian Dvorak.
In the case of Petry, several sources believe that the trade process should begin after the free agent market opens. The Penguins will see what Kris Letang does, for example, and the Stars will try their best to extend John Klingberg.
In both cases, if these two defensemen leave their respective teams, Jeff Petry will become an interesting prey and his value will increase at the same time.
In the case of Christian Dvorak, with a possible selection of Shane Wright, let's just say that his future is not really in Montreal anymore.
Two files to watch.
