The excellent Jimmy Murphy of MontrealHockeyNow had the opportunity to speak with a high ranking NHL executive.
The latter, who wished to remain anonymous, had only good words for Kent Hughes.
« I mean, Kent (Hughes) and Bill (Zito) were on the other side as player agents. They saw the tough situations that GMs can get into and both came in and had to clean up the mess that was left by the guy who left. I look specifically at Kent and I see a guy with a vision, he's just starting to establish it and pave the way to get there, but he's doing it very well." - NHL high flyer
According to the latest rumors across the NHL, Murphy says that some believe Hughes should liquidate the contracts of Josh Anderson or Christian Dvorak and possibly even Jake Allen by the start of the 2022-2023 season.
