Montreal Canadiens general manager Kent Hughes told a media scrum after the 2022 draft lottery that he will not be drafting his son, Jack Hughes, at No. 1.
The kid wasted no time in responding to his father via Twitter, telling him that he is making a serious mistake with this decision.
Hughes went from being the seventh best skater in North America to 26th in the most recent NHL Central Scouting list.
The centre plays for Northeastern University. He has 16 points in 39 games this season.
The Habs could possibly draft him in the second round if they really want to.
