Kyle Dubas Refuses to Meet With Media After Embarrassing Loss
The Leafs have had a terrible start to the season. They are now 4-5-1, and have lost games to some of the worst teams in the league. Yesterday, they lost to the 32nd ranked Anaheim Ducks.
This has led to the teams' atmosphere becoming incredibly negative. Mitch Marner had to go into the locker room to break his stick out of anger yesterday.
Now, Dubas has refused to meet with media.
The travelling media representing the Toronto Star, Sun, Athletic, Sportsnet, TSN and Sports Illustrated asked to speak to general manager Kyle Dubas about the state of the team. The request was denied. The team wants to present a business-as-usual demeanour. Dubas's media appearances are typically scheduled well in advance.
Things aren't looking good in Toronto, and changes could be coming soon.
