With Gorton's rapid addition, the Canadiens' history has officially ended. But the next chapter has already begun. On Sunday, it was reported that six candidates were being considered to succeed Marc Bergevin as the Habs' general manager, but one NHL insider feels there is only one clear leader.
The job may already belong to Mathie Darche, according to NHL insider Chris Johnston.
"Most likely we're looking at Mathieu Darche here," said Johnston.
