MacKinnon slashes the official after the faceoff! 10 games suspension?

We know Nathan MacKinnon is a superstar in this league, but what he did today is unacceptable.
He slashed the official after the faceoff and it seemed completely intentional and on purpose. Antoine Vermette got a 10 game suspension for doing the same thing a number of years ago.
Here is Vermette' similar slash where he got suspended 10 games:
