They all want a 21-year-old goaltender named Mack Guzda. Guzda is a Canada hockey league goaltender playing for the Barrie Colts of the Ontario Hockey league.
Sportsnet's Jeff Marek had this to say about Mack Guzda,
"There is a young man by the name of Mack Guzda, he is an over age netminder, plays for the Barrie Colts of the OHL and that is someone that the Maple Leafs are very much trying to sign," said Marek on Saturday night. "Their pursuit I'm told is very aggressive. They met with the netminder this week I believe on Thursday, but they are not the only team trying to sign this netminder who is having a great season in the OHL. The Penguins, the Rangers, the Preds are all considered frontrunners but also the Islanders, Ducks and Carolina Hurricanes are said to be interested. This netminder is by the way from Knoxville, Tennessee."
Mack Guzda is turning alot of heads in 13 games this season in Barrie. Guzda has a 1.89 goals against average, and a outstanding .935 save percentage with the Barrie Colts. Mack Guzda doe also have two shutouts this is his over age season in the Ontario Hockey League.
Mack Guzda is undrafted so he's free to sign with what ever team he chooses. Mack Guzda in a interview with OHL.com Said, "I just want to play hockey and hope to one day play in the NHL that's every child's dream mine included."
