In spite of speculations that Marc-Andre Fleury has chosen to stay in Chicago, there is a sense that the beloved goalie could leave before the deadline, with signals pointing to Canada.
Fleury has claimed that he is reluctant to be traded again due to family issues (understandable given that he has moved his family twice in less than a year), but he has also stated that he wants at least one more chance at the Stanley Cup. He keeps thinking about the Toronto Maple Leafs.
According to source Frank Seravalli, the Leafs were still pursuing Fleury ahead of Monday's deadline.
Now, Emily Kaplan of ESPN has the same feeling, stating he'd go to a team that has a legitimate chance of winning a Cup.
