At the Habs practice today, we realized that there were two forward duos splitting up the work. Jonathan Drouin and Mike Hoffman were substitutes, while Evgenii Dadonov and Michael Pezzetta were also substitutes.

For a player of Drouin's caliber, not having a spot on the team is the equivalent of a slap in the face. However, Martin St-Louis wanted to correct the situation by talking about the number 27:

« I have a plan for all players. All players have value and whether they are on the ice or not, I want to increase their value.

Jonathan is coming back from surgery and he is not at the same physical level as the others. I'm going to put him in a position to be successful on the ice. He still has the potential to put up a lot of points." - Martin St-Louis

This means that the coach has a plan for everyone and not only on the ice. We don't know if Drouin will be in the starting lineup on Wednesday night, but one thing is for sure, the decision will have been well thought out and in order to give Jonathan the best possible chance to succeed.

You can watch Martin St-Louis' press conference below.
