The incident occurred about 10 minutes west of the Scotiabank Arena. Near 7:46 p.m., Toronto Police tweeted about a carjacking at The Queensway and Islington Ave., when three suspects used two handguns and a knife to rob a man and a woman in their 20s of a Black Range Rover.
'Go ahead and take it,' Marner remarked as he handed the vehicle over to the thieves.
Marner finally broke his silence on the carjacking incident on Wednesday.
