New York Islanders Goalie Prospect Lets in a Goal From 180 Feet Away
The New York Islanders have a very shallow goalie prospect pool. Behind their tandem of Ilya Sorokin and Semyon Varlamov, they have veteran Corey Schneider, and 27-year-old fringe NHL goalie Ken Appleby.
Well, Appleby, who would theoretically be second in line for a call-up gig, just got sent down to the ECHL - and it's safe to say one particular goal he allowed was a big reason for it.
You can watch Appleby here let in a goal from all the way across the ice - 180 feet. What a miserable effort by the goalie.
He definitely could've stopped that one at least he'll have some easier competition in the ECHL?
