The Dallas Stars announced this afternoon that Peter DeBoer has been named head coach.
This is the 25th head coach in Stars history.
DeBoer was until recently behind the bench of the Vegas Golden Knights.
The team's failure to make the playoffs cost him his job.
According to Pierre LeBrun, it would be a four-season deal at $4 million per year.
