The Edmonton Oilers are 2-8-2 in their last 12 and have the 3rd worst record in the NHL since December 3rd.
Yesterday, the Oilers lost 4-1 to the Rangers. Koskinen made brutal mistakes costing his team the loss. His coach wasn't impressed and criticized him after the game.
The mistake occurred on the first goal where Koskinen gave the puck away to Lafreniere.
Coach Tippett: «We did a lot of good tonight, but our goalie wasn't very good. Also, we didn't send enough pucks into the net to hope to get back in the game. It was a blunt mistake. It has to be said as it is. We played well, it was a blunt mistake!»
