The rumours have been circulating for months now with the Canadiens. The fact that the Canadiens have too many forwards is nothing new, and Kent Hughes will certainly have to find solutions, since several young players are already knocking on the NHL door, notably Jesse Ylonen and Rafael Harvey-Pinard.

Josh Anserson has been part of these rumours for a few weeks. The number 17 was seen as an untouchable not too long ago, but that is no longer the case. Anderson could well be sacrificed as his value on the market is still very good.

In fact, several tipsters are linking Anderson to the Oilers and it makes a lot of sense. With the loss of Evander Kane in the long run, they don't really have a power forward who can hit and score goals.

Kent Hughes can expect a very nice return by trading the number 17 and, according to Dany Dubé, Oilers prospect Xavier Bourgault is in his sights.

This means that the Tricolore's general manager would not be looking for a draft pick at all costs, but rather a young player in full development. In addition, he could ask his Edmonton counterpart to add a defenceman to complete the transaction.

Currently in the AHL, Bourgault has nine points, including five goals, in 19 games.
