ECHL player Jacob Panetta took to Social media today to defend himself and deny the racist accusations. Last night's game between the Jacksonville Icemen and South Carolina Stingrays, Panetta looks like he was making a racist gesture towards Jordan Subban while he was turning that didn't end well for Panetta.

After being suspended by the league and the video of that incident went viral Jacob Panetta is claiming he didn't do anything racist, and Panetta shared another video today of him doing the same pose from another game.

Panetta also made 2 videos of himself defending his actions saying,

"We had a heated argument when the linesman were between us and I said to Subban your only tough when the refs get involved." Then I made a tough guy bodybuilder gesture towards him. I made the same bodybuild gesture before during on ice confrontations. There's videos from previous games that demonstrate this. My actions towards Jordan where not cause of race or meant as a racist gesture. I did not contemplate at the time that it would be perceived as a racist gesture. I attempted to relay this to Jordan when we were sent to the dressing room. I was confused until I saw how people viewed the incident. I want to reiterate that no racist gesture noises or sounds were made by myself during the altercation."
