Rumours of Pierre-Luc Dubois being sent to Montreal have circulated widely since the beginning of the summer. Although these rumours have faded, they are still present and many Canadiens fans would still like to see the Quebecer in the blue-white-red uniform.
During Saturday night's game between the Jets and Leafs, Dubois showed a lot of character, much to the delight of his fans. The team's rookie, Cole Perfetti, was tackled from behind by defenceman Rasmus Sandin. That's all it took for Dubois to come to his teammate's defence.
In a hockey locker room, this kind of gesture is important, even essential, to bond players together. How many times have we seen similar scenes with the Tricolore in recent years, without anyone getting the message across?
All in all, Pierre-Luc Dubois is a real team player and he proved it on this sequence.
