Former Canadiens goaltender José Théodore experienced a very unusual incident in the last few days.

As a guest on the La Poche Bleue podcast, he agreed to reveal the details of his expulsion from an Air Canada flight last Wednesday.

Here is his version of events, as reported by Le Sac de Chips.

"I'm sitting. I'm not moving. 45 minutes late. We're sitting. The flight attendant comes, dumb. "Sir, lift your seatback," and I've got my mask right under my nose. "Put your mask back on. I've told you twice now. I say OK, I hope there won't be a third. That's it."

Then he adds...

"Security is coming! We're turning the plane around! I'm taking you out of the plane." There, I said "Are you kidding me?" [...] Well, tabarnane. The plane returns. Two cops are waiting, I'm being escorted for real! [...] There are nine people! I have my cubicle door closed! The girl in front turns around and says "I don't understand. You didn't do anything. You didn't talk." I answered a little bit stupid, what's the problem?"

Furious, he pours out his heart against the company.

"The CEO, Michael Rousseau, has a French name, but he doesn't speak it. I can say it in English: 'Michael Rousseau, your fu**ing staff is awful! Pick it up a notch, buddy." Because he doesn't understand French. Hey, he's the CEO of Air Canada and he doesn't speak a word of French. That's nice, boys. It's beautiful Air Canada! I feel abused."
