It's been sad news to hear that king Henrik has retired from the NHL, after being one of the TOP goaltender for the past 2 decades. He didn't have a chance to win the Stanley cup after multiple chances with the Rangers, but they couldn't get it done,
He also had one more chance to get it done with Washington Capitals when he signed before the 2019-2020, but he wasn't able to suit up because he had heart issues, which made him retire!
He was always known to be a an elite goaltender joining Brodeur and Luongo, in the 2010 decade. As you know, great goaltending is not enough, you need a good overall team, he did have a good team with the Rangers.
When they lost in the Finals against the Kings, they also had a chance to go to the finals again but they lost to Brodeurs Devils in the conference Finals.
What a wonderful career he had!
We have to applaud him for that!
