Report: Eastern Conference Team Looking to Acquire Canucks Bo Horvat
Vancouver Canucks Captain Bo Horvat is a pending UFA. It has been reported that the Canucks management and the players camp are far apart in contract negotiations, and combined with the dreadful performance of the Canucks thus far, trade rumours have sparked.
While it would be logical for a contending team to acquire the center, the Detroit Red Wings have emerged as front-runners in this race. They have a pending UFA of their own in Dylan Larkin, and they may be looking for a cheaper replacement.
While the Red Wings may be out of the very bottom of the league, they are still long shots for the playoffs. It's entirely possible that they see Horvat as an important piece of their future, and they have more valuable draft assets to make a trade happen.
