The Vegas Golden Knights have held additional trade talks with the Buffalo Sabres for star Jack Eichel, according to Daily Faceoff's Frank Seravalli.
Vegas has $6.4 million in cap space, but forwards Max Pacioretty and Alex Tuch are on injured reserve. The Sabres apparently don't want to keep any of Eichel's salary.
A prospective Eichel deal has been brewing for months, but nothing has materialised. Eichel is currently recovering from neck surgery and won't be ready to play until late in the season, if at all.
