According to The Athletic, the Oilers and the Maple Leafs are two teams that inquired about goaltender Semyon Varlamov at the deadline.
In my opinion, this is a mistake by the Leafs and the Oilers, they both should be hunting for a serious #1 netminder at this point.
Connor Mcdavid has proven once again that he can carry a team in the playoffs but he needs a good goalie.
Auston Matthews' contract is due in 2 years, the Leafs need to seriously find a goalie that can get them past the 1st round also.
Could Toronto or Edmonton be potential destinations for Varlamov?
