Report: Patrick Kane's Season May Be Over
We have been following Patrick Kane trade rumours all season. It's been the main topic of conversation in the league for months, and it seemed to be all but an inevitability.
Now, insider Elliotte Friedman has dropped an absolute bombshell.
He, along with many others close to the team, believe that Kane is nursing a serious injury. He could very well opt to go for a surgery that would end his season early.
There has been a rumor that Pat Kane has been dealing with something, some kind of injury; some sort of nagging injury for some period of time. And at some point he's going to need a clean-up...I wonder if the solution is: Kane and the Blackhawks agree to a one-year extension, he shuts himself down, he goes and gets whatever procedure he needs, and he comes back next year healthy and refreshed, and we go through this again.
While he could walk in free agency elsewhere, Friedman suggests that he would sign a one-year extension to help the Blackhawks gain some assets.
We will keep you updated as this story develops.
