Ron Maclean Under Fire for Tasteless Language Towards Colleague
Legendary newscaster Ron MacLean is under fire for tastless comments during last night's Hockey Night In Canada broadcast.
MacLean made several distasteful comments, such as referring to his co-broadcaster Cabral "Cabbie" Richards as his "G"
It appears that Hockey Night In Canada is moving in a younger and more trendy direction. This effort, however, isn't effective when somebody like Ron MacLean is still such a big part of the broadcast. Fans of all ages are calling for him to be removed or replaced, as he doesn't fit in today's hockey culture.
After the firing of Don Cherry, Hockey Night In Canada effectively started a new era, and MacLean appears to be one of the only old things carried over into it. Some people are even calling for prominent hockey celebrities, such as PK Subban to take over the gig.
If MacLean continues to embarrass himself and his colleagues, his time with Hockey Night In Canada may be coming to an end.
