Rumour: Report Indicates That Sidney Crosby Wants to End His Career With This Canadian Team
The Pittsburgh Penguins are very much in a win-now' mode. The group that won them three Stanley Cups, notably Sidney Crosby, Kris Letang, and Evgeni Malkin are still all under contract, however, the team around them is declining.
It's unlikely that the Penguins will be a playoff team come the expiry of captain Sidney Crosby's deal in three years.
A hockey insider has sparked a rumour that Crosby would like to end his career as a Montreal Canadien.
This would make some sense, as Crosby grew up as a Habs fan, and the Canadiens rebuild should be done right around when Crosby retired. It would be an amazing feat for Canadian Hero Sidney Crosby to bring a Stanley Cup back to the North.
This could be an absolute game changer for the Canadiens, as Sidney Crosby will likely still be a superstar at 38 years old.
