The fourth overall pick in the last draft, Shane Wright, sent a message to the Habs, but also to the Devils and Coyotes, who did not draft him.
Believe me, I'm not going to forget those teams that ignored me and didn't draft me. I'm definitely going to have 'a chip on my shoulder'." - Shane Wright
Roughly speaking, "a chip on my shoulder" means "having an angry or unpleasant attitude or manner of behaving, caused by the belief that one has been treated unfairly in the past" and also "having a grudge that easily causes an argument".
Finally, from his comments, one can conclude that he is resentful and it will be up to him to prove that these teams made a bad decision.
