With the NHL's March 21st Deadline quickly approaching there is no better time to analyze rumors, pre-judge trades that will never happen, and fantasize about our favorite underrated players being traded to our favorite teams. You do it, I do it, everybody does it. But with all the info being tossed around the internet, what can we realistically expect on or before 3/21?

The latest talk surrounding the deadline is that it's shaking up to be a quiet one; the economic upheaval all around the globe hasn't eluded NHL Front Offices, so prices are crazy high. Marquis players like Tomas Hertl, John Klingberg, & JT Miller naturally drew a ton of interest after their respective clubs' poor starts/salary cap struggles. However, each of their GM's have stated each player is "off the market." Time will tell, however.

With Rasmus Ristolainen re-signing in PHI, it has been said their blue line is getting crowded. It's been said that one of Ivan Provorov or Travis Sanheim could be moved. Personally, I'd move Provorov. He would demand a higher return AND his upside is lower than Sanheim's. But Chuck Fletcher hasn't proven to make great decisions, so who knows?

Who should your favorite team target? There are three possibly-available players every team who is serious about winning now should target:

1. Artturi Lehkonen
2. Andrew Copp
3. Anthony Beauvillier

Each of these players could be had for below-true-market-value and make an immediate & lasting impact on teams in win-now mode. Players like Provorov, Chiarot, Giordano would all command steep price tags & could provide false hope to the unwise.
