We got the latest news on some players possibly to represent Canada in men's hockey for the 2022 Olympics in Beijing.
It sucks that the NHL players weren't allowed to participate in the tournament. But the goal remains the same we're going to cheer on the boys that get selected to the team as they try to bring home the gold medal for Canada!
On the bright side of this, is a huge opportunity for selected players who wouldn't of been on team Canada otherwise to still play for our country and do us proud by bringing home the gold.
Hockey reporter Scott Wheeler has shared 10 players believed to be representing Canada going to Beijing. They are going to be lead by former NHL star Eric Staal and the 2021 1st overall pick Owen Power, along with former NHL players David Desharnais, Daniel Winnik, and Jason Demers.
The others so far are, Kent Johnson, Adam Cracknell, Landon Ferraro, Daniel Carr and Mark Barberio. Hockey Canada is looking to try to find the most diverse roster possible because the goal remains the same winning gold in Beijing.
